Bold vertical stripes of black and warm tan run the length of this Beni Ourain rug, breaking and shifting like rain or reeds rather than marching in rigid lines. The high-contrast palette feels graphic and grounded — a confident, contemporary take on the classic Berber stripe.
Hand-knotted by Amazigh artisans of the Middle Atlas from undyed and naturally dyed live wool, every stripe is woven by hand, so the bands waver and vary in width and the rhythm feels alive rather than printed. The thick, plush pile is warm and cushioned underfoot, made to last for generations and to soften beautifully with age. No two pieces are identical; the small irregularities are the signature of a genuinely handmade Moroccan rug.
